be a little more intelligent and do some research try the software.įL studio has one of the best workflows out there. so everyone who says that FL Studio is child’s play. I don’t think anyone out there realizes the power in that. you couldn’t rewire reason into Ableton and use FL Studio as a VST.
#FL STUDIO VS REASON SOFTWARE#
I don’t know many software daww that do that.
#FL STUDIO VS REASON FULL#
you can use it as a full daw or you can use it as a VST and any other daw.

reason will replace Pro Tools for recording, FL Studio is logic for PC. but don’t tell everybody what they’re using sucks because they’re not using ProTools logic or Ableton. just because you work in the music industry doesn’t make you professional. professionals study something before they make an opinion. if you’re a professional then you know that it’s not. a lot of people assume that it is child’s play. the same way you can record photos to a final to track you can do in FL Studio using the edison. Which DAW you have is really personal preference for the reasons mentioned above.įL Studio is a complete daw. If the producers music sounds like sh*t, which DAW you have isn’t going to make a difference. The ability to make music is dependent on the producer. Martin Garrix, and Avicci, just to name a couple, both use FL Studio. If you don’t believe me, go to YouTube and search Future Music in the Studio. Unlike most DAWs where you’re required to pay $200-$300 for a new version.

I wouldn’t regard it as cheap software, at least not anymore, however, a really big plus to FL Studio is their lifetime of free upgrades. The cost for the full bundle all presets and packages included is $737. Channeling and effects layout is easy, click and drag really. Everything is sufficiently color-coded so it’s easier to make out your track layout (almost every DAW I know of has this, but I’m speaking on behalf of FL Studio). For me, FL Studio is extremely user friendly, the workflow is well layed out and organized. Cubase: Also a great DAW but the upgrades are almost half the price of the original version. Ableton: Not a bad DAW, but not user friendly by any means. Didn’t really care for the workflow of Logic honestly. I honestly don’t think the hardware is worth the money you pay. Logic: Gave it a chance, but just not really a big Mac guy. I’ve used many DAWs and have always found myself fond of FL Studio.
A LOT of changes have been made to FL Studio in the nearly 20 years of its production. Fruity Loops, and was just a four-channel midi drum machine at that time. I think many people disregard FL Studio for what it started out as. FL Studio has stepped up its game hard over the last few years. I constantly hear Logic users complain about updates crashing their programs and making certain vst plug ins malfunction.
I’ve composed, mixed and mastered tracks in FL Studio that stump Logic in quality. Image-Line offers great deals to its customers and they’re incredibly loyal and their customer support is exceptional, unlike Apple which primes itself and charging a 40% mark up on the exact same specs of its competing opposition (and Mac users think they’re better HA!) At the end of the day you use what ever works for you. You get life time free updates meaning you pay for it once. The routing features and native plug ins are beyond exceptional and Maximus is probably the greatest thing ever conceived. The amount of manipulation in FL Studio’s piano roll is better than ANY OTHER DAW. It makes the simplest tasks unnecessarily complicated which wastes time and kills the creativity buzz.
Seriously? As someone who has used both Logic, Ableton and FL Studio, FL Studio is by far the better of all of them (mind you my opinion is bias).
